| The procedure consists in sending through the sample an ultrasound wave generated by a sensor. The defaults, lack of material, or heterogenous send back a part of the ultrasound beam to the sensor wich is also a receiver (piezoelectric effect), and allows to know precisely the depth of the defect.
The control cant be realized on site, or in laboratory. |
